A pair of very early 19th century shoes dating to 1805 - 1810. The slightly pointed toe and flat wooden heel are typical indication of this date.
They are in a fine woven silk, and have little silk bows to the front. There are stury soles, and the lining is of linen.
These shoes would have been worn during the day and for going out. Not ball shoes.
The condition is very good. There is a minute repair to one heel area. Well done, so hardly noticable
The length is 8 1/2"
