A good embroidered muslin single sleeve ruffle dating to about 1760-
It is joined all round and would have been attached and gathered to a thin band.
The embroidery is prettily executed and the ruffle consists of two layers all round.
The condition is very good, with just two pea size thin patches on the lower edge of one ruffle. This hardly shows.
The ruffle measures 40" all round, and the depth at the widest point is 11"
Although this is only one of a pair, it could be useful for study or copying
